One problem related to other fuel system hoses lines/piping, and fittings has been reported for the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driving over safety warning strips on the side of the road caused fuel shut off system to stall, which may have caused a crash. Dealer said it was a common problem.
