Suspected a tire runout problem on right front tire. Had tires inspected and rotated by respected tire company before 500 mile drive to monterey, CA. While there, felt a slight wobble in the rear of the car. During return trip to southern oregon, a vibration began and worsened as time went on. At 11 miles from our destination while travelling at 70 mph, the left rear tire blew. After stopping and expecting to see a flat tire, I saw nothing wrong. I inspected all of the tires and attempted to drive the car. At 45 mph a severe vibration occurred. We travelled home at 40 mph on an alternate route. After arriving home, we discovered that the tread had separated from the steel belting.
Vehicle experienced tire blow out. The consumer ran over an object in the road, lost control of the vehicle and hit a semi truck.
The right front tire experienced a blowout while driving on a 2 lane back road at 30 mph. Also, the jack broke in half when vehicle was being jacked up to remove the blowout tire. This caused the vehicle to crash down and almost sever the consumer's leg. Manufacturer was notified, and requested that the consumer send the jack to there corporate office.
Entire right side of tire failed and blew apart, separating from the edge of the tire which binds to the rim. No evidence of a punture in the tread portion of the tire. Inside of tire had delaminated in several places. (tiresize: p22560sr16).
