Vehicle suddenly accelerated when applying brakes to stop at approaching stop light, this occurred for second time. Vehicle taken to dealer. On first occasion dealer was unable to locate cause. On second occasion dealer replaced transmission. Feel free to provide any further information on this matter.
When shifting vehicle into reverse it would go forward a few feet before going backwards. If shifting vehicle into neutral, it would go forward instead. Driver's foot was not on accelerator pedal. Problem was intermittent. Taken vehicle to dealership. Dealer performed tests with Ford scan tool and there were no problems found/concern could not be duplicated.
Consumer was traveling about 29mph on a highway and transmission acted like it wanted to downshift. Speed was withheld. Mechanic told consumer that computer for transmission needed to be replaced.
Right after it rained and the highway was wet I was doing about 30 mph and put the car in passing gear to pass another car, and the car went completely out of control. I lost all traction on the road and almost went into a ditch. The vehicle has no traction on wet pavements.
On incline vehicle will roll back fast when stepping off the brakes. Also vehicle is difficult to shift into gears. Please provide further information.
