Vehicle develops major vibration in steering wheel at 65+mph going over lightly bumpy and heavily bumpy roads. . . . . . . . . Feels like losing control of vehicle. . . . . . Problem duplicated during test drive by senior maint mgr at dealership. . . . . . . Existing TSB on this issue. . . . . Service writer at dealer claims other than balancing wheels. . . . . Ford has not come up with solution. . . They are working on it. . . . . Vehicle no longer drivable on freeways or at highway speed.

2 Steering Linkages problem

Failure Date: 07/04/2001

Accelerating from a stop in low gear at 15 mph, felt a slight vibration followed by a deafing loud/bang explosion. Dealer not able to diagnose.
