Called walker Ford in clearwater, FL on 12/27/2025 at 09:35 am. I reported to them that two recalls that would pertain to my car, 13s08 and 13r01 needed to be performed as my steering bearing retainer has failed. They informed me it was repaired, but it has failed again. According to my research, regardless if its been performed or not, Ford is still liable to fix it again. Vehicle was stationary steering wheel went round and round but wheels did not turn if I would have been driving I would have crashed.

The contact owns a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number 13v385000 (steering) had exceeded a reasonable time for repair. The dealer and the manufacturer had both advised the contact that the part needed to complete the recall service was on back order until January 2014. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Submission from constituent re a letter she sent to Ford motor company on behalf of a recall notice for her 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis qs/4 dr. Ls sdn in August 29, 2013. The consumer stated the amount of money she paid for the vehicle, the parts should not rust, with such low miles on the vehicle. The consumer referenced recall # 13v385000. Also, the vehicle down-shifted and would barely stop, when the consumer approached a four-way stop sign.
