Replacement airtex fuel pump (model e2272s) determined to be leaking gasoline from where the electrical wires pass through the nylon/plastic connector block assembly and/or from the junction of the nylon/plastic wire block assembly and the fuel pump’s metal housing. Fuel pump installed in the vehicle on or about 5/31/2012 @ 79,353 miles. Leak not noticed/detected/reported until 7/23/2014 @ 92,958 miles.

3 Other Fuel System Pump problem of the 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis

Failure Date: 02/03/2013

The contact owns a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact had the vehicle towed to a mechanic and was told the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The failure mileage and current mileages were 45,015.
