Exterior Lighting Problems of Mercury Marauder

The contact's husband owns a 2004 Mercury Marauder. The contact's husband had received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v861000 (exterior lighting). The vehicle was taken to a local dealer for the recall repair. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact was made aware that only the lcm module harness was replaced and not the lcm module. The contact also stated that after the vehicle was returned, the driver's door latch was broken and the front passenger headlight failed to illuminate intermittently. The contact made the dealer aware of the failure and was informed the repair cost was her responsibility. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000.

Driving along 2 lane highway at about 7pm 1/6/2016 head lights stopped working will not come back on had to drive without head lights or taillights I was informed there is a problem with this year 2003 Mercury Marauder head lights etcand Ford is aware of this hazardous problem.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer (levittown Ford llc, 3195 hempstead turnpike, levittown, NY 11756) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not contacted. Head light flicker on and off , low beams are dim , hig beams not bright.

Every time I've started it since I owned it, its smoked every time. I don't know what the smoke is from but goes away about 10-15 seconds of running.
