Electronic Stability Control problem #1

I have abs, brake warning and regen brakes disabled messages on dash. Ford mechanic estimated cost over 5k.

Electronic Stability Control problem #2

I have been on the phone with Ford. An extremely mad and rude woman didn't or couldn't answer any questions I had. She kept telling me I got my recall be cause they checked my computer system but didn't replace the recalled steering module. The woman also didn't hang up so I was unable to do the survey at the end of the phone call. Some people are disgusting the way they treat others.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stalled as the check four by four, service brakes, and pull over safely warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact mentioned that when the brakes was depressed, the vehicle jerked forward as the traction control warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000. Ss.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

While driving down the road, all of the warning lights on the dash board came on and then the breaks failed. We were able to get to safety after going off the road. When taken into the Ford motor company repair shop they reset the codes and said everything was fine, no parts to repair. Less than 50 miles later, the same thing happened again injuring 3! this time it's the abs module. After calling the Ford motor company, they refuse to admit there is any problem and no reason for a recall. We were given the NHTSA information to make a complaint and if eventually NHTSA informs Ford that they must do a recall we can be given a refund for our money spent on this repair. Our question is what happens when someone dies? does it take that before someone is going to do something about the known hybrid breaking problems? the manger at the Ford motor company customer service doesn't think it's an issue worth looking into only to say that a vehicle with high mileage should be taken care of and repaired by the owners. Not that Ford is responsible for faulty parts! please NHTSA do something about the hybrid breaking system before multiple people continue to be injured or are killed!.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

Pcm, "stop safely now" & shut-down problem and I have a red triangle illuminated on the cluster accompanied by an audible chime. In addition, the message center will indicate "stop safely now" and the powertrain control module will command the vehicle to shut down. This is where ever you are and it happens really quickly it is for sure a safety hazard. . . . I don't understand why this has not been recalled, since so many have reported the same problems throughout the years.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

Was slowing to make a turn and the anti-lock/skid kicked in on dry pavement. Continued to occur through day with service brake warning and service 4x4 warning coming on. Brakes were replaced, rotors turned & system bled. Al/s stick kicks in while going slow on occasion. It's like the brakes lock-up and release three or four times then everything is normal until the next time. Vehicle is a 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid with 36900 miles. Hpa pump was replaced last year under warranty.
