The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the manifold and the thermostat holder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

The intake manifold on my grand Marquis cracked an caused my car to run hot an I had to replace it. I have 1998 merqury grand Marquis I replaced it on the 9-14-05.
