One problem related to engine belts and pulleys has been reported for the 2002 Mercury Marquis. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling in inclement weather the belt fell off the engine causing the vehicle to shut down. The dealer is aware TSB #02-05-04. The consumer suggested that this was a common problem when the belts get wet.
