Brake Pedal And Linkage problems of the 2003 Mercury Marquis

: the contact stated while attempting to apply brake pressure the vehicle accelerated. The dealership was alerted however no repairs have been made. The consumer believed the brake and accelerator were designed too close together. Updated 04/06/06.

Accelerator pedal and brake pedal are located too close together. This would cause a misapplication to the wrong pedal when braking or accelerating, at the same time. Had taken vehicle to dealership, and mechanic could not resolve the problem.
