The tires were rotated, but he was unsure which two tires failed. The dealer stated that the tires were defective. The dot number was unknown. The failure mileage was 11,000 and current mileage was 26,000.

The contact stated that while driving in inclement weather and trying to accelerate, the tires spun out. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was advised that the tires were performing to standards. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and current mileages were approximately 40,000. Updated 4/1/13 updated 4/5/13 the consumer stated he purchased four tires, and presently they have 70% tread left. The consumer stated when he attempted to drive in rainy weather, he felt the wheels spin, and it was difficult to drive.
