Two problems related to radio/tape cd player have been reported for the 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My graphich display (clock/radio stations, mode) stopped working on my radio. The auto shop has replaced the radio twice with the same results. All cabling and fuses were checked and certified okay. All other components are working except for the display. Help!!!!.
Cd player does not work and graphical display not working. Had identical problem in sept/oct 2002. Under extended warranty. Paid $100 for new radio. Happened again Dec 2003 - same thing cd stopped working and graphical display not working. Replaced - sept/oct 2002. Now same problem with new one.
