Own a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. Since I've purchased it I've had issues with the airbag light staying on, the seatbelts not registered as being undone and the gas not registering (I fill it up and it says the last amount and will not say it's full until sometimes 2-3 days). I'm most concerned about the airbags and the seatbelts. I seen that earlier models and 2006 have issues with the airbag not deploying. The dearlership has replaced the sensor 3 times for the airbag and put in a new seat belt system about 15 mos. Ago. The dealership will not cover it again and says I need to pay for it. This has been an ongoing problem and from the web research, it's not problems that Mercury/Ford is unaware. These are safety issues.
