The contact owns a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer. On a snowy day after driving the vehicle the driver noticed that the back rear door window was broken. The contact stated that there was no previous cracks or evidence of craks in the window. The local dealer informed her that she was responsible for the repairs. On 4/12/07 the dealer informed her that the hydraulic valve that kept the window open and the head of it was cracked. The dealer stated that the failure could have caused the window to break. The current mileage was 33,100, and the failure mileage was 33,001.
