Cruise Control problems of the 1997 Mercury Mystique

Two problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Mystique. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 09/26/2001

While driving at 65 mph with cruise control engaged consumer attempted to hit brakes to disengage cruise control and slow down, but vehicle speeded up, lost control, and hit a guardrail. Consumer has yet to contact dealer.

2 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 10/21/1999

While turning a corner car will begin to idle or coming off a ramp when ever turning very slow. Ak.
