Two problems related to speed control cable have been reported for the 1998 Mercury Mystique. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Received recall notice 99v194000 & contacted dealer to set appointment. Was informed that no parts were available. Been checking off & on since. Received another notice for same recall. Still no parts. Afraid to drive vehicle. Manufacturer not sending parts for repair of throttle cable.
Recall # 99v194000 Ford/throttle cable; owner has been waiting for recall to be performed since August, 99. Dealer does not have parts to correct recall.
