One problem related to steering knuckle spindle has been reported for the 1998 Mercury Mystique. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Wheel bearings were defective. Steering made a lot of noise while consumer was driving. Toook vehicle to an independent mechanic, informed consumer that spindle on driver's side was defective. Spindle on passenger's side was not.
