Two problems related to wiring have been reported for the 1999 Mercury Mystique. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1999 Mercury Mystique electrical system failing. Corrosion and overcharging over electrical wires. Was informed by repair shop that he had seen this problem with another Ford contour. Electrical wiring harness is not put together properly.
The vehicles electrical wiring burned while driving which caused smoke to emit from under the hood.
