One problem related to car accelerates on its own has been reported for the 1996 Mercury Sable. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
At 14,000 mile vehicle commences to accelerate intermittently and momentarily while brakes are being applied from a stop position. Sudden acceleration would last for approximately one minute or less. Vehicle been in dealer shop on four occasions, and they were unable to duplicate the problem.
