Mechanical Jack problems of the 1996 Mercury Sable

Consumer complains that the jack folded the first time being used.

2 Mechanical Jack problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2002

This is the first time I used the jack. As I was tightening the last lug nut the jack collapsed. It was on a flat asphalt surface. The hinges of the jack had broken.

3 Mechanical Jack problem

Failure Date: 12/11/1996

Jack replaced.
