Two problems related to accelerator stuck have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Sable. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Accelerator sticks in wide open position. Appears to be freezing similar to NHTSA 97v074. Wife had a near accident at high speed today.
Consumer put vehicle into drive, and vehicle accelerated at high speed with accelerator pedal stuck to the floorboard. Consumer turned off vehicle.
