Two problems related to mechanical jack have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Sable. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated that when changing the tire the jack collapse and could had cause injuries to the consumer. Dealer notified. Ph.
Consumer used jack to change flat tire on driver's side front, when lowering vehicle top portion of jack collapsed, and vehicle dropped, causing damage to rotor.
