Two problems related to accelerator pedal have been reported for the 1998 Mercury Sable. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer pressed down on accelerator pedal and vehicle did not move. Vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection. Internal failure. Had to replace transmission.
Accelerator releasing from speed of 15 mph to 20-25 mph when easing off gas pedal.
