After several attempts to get power windows repaired I have finally been somewhat satisfied, although I still experience some sticking and annoying wind noise. I did ask ruston Ford, Lincoln, Mercury in ruston, la when I had the windows repaired about the front bumper paint peeling/flaking and was told that it was not covered under warranty and there were no recalls on the problem. I recently searched several auto repair and supply stores for some type of touch up paint and were told by several reputable sales people that they had seen several customers like myself with the same problem(peeling/flaking paint) on the same type of vehicle and was also told that I could order the paint throught the local Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership, but the problem would most likely reoccur. After my dealings with the ruston Ford, Lincoln, mecury dealership in ruston, la I have no desire to do any type of business with them ever again!, nor will I consider purchasing any Ford or Mercury vehicle in the future. I have owned 6 vehicles in the past 12 years: Chevrolet corsica Mitsubishi eclipse Chevrolet blazer Toyota forerunner Toyota camry -------of these six vehicles I can honestly say that my Mercury Sable has by far exceeded any problems and poor service experience I have ever recieved!!!! on August 15th I had my oil changed and was told by the technician that there was a hissing noise coming from my air conditioner which could be signs of yet another problem in the future. All I am asking for is a little old fashioned honesty and trust in someone that will tell me whether these problems are covered under a defect or recall claim. I look forward to hearing from someone soon. Thank you, leslie s evans.
Airbag and abs lights on control panel come on intermittently. Happens when consumer uses power windows. When brakes are depressed, all dash lights go dim. Vehicle has not been involved in an accident.
