Sent car to repair shop and told no codes show up on computer no signs of leaks or damage to transmission, bad torq converter. Keeping old converter after hearing of similar problems with other vehicles that share same transmission. Called several transmission shops and Ford dealerships and it seems to be a fairly common problem.
I was driving home from work when my car told me to have my transmission checked. I took it to the shop and the mechanic told me that I have to have my transmission rebuilt. The car only has 70,000 miles on it, and I bought it when it had 31,000 miles in 2007. The mechanic proceeded to inform me that the make and model of my car has continuous problems with the transmission, and that he alone had fixed at least 10 or 12 within the past few months.
