One problem related to front suspension control arm has been reported for the 1998 Mercury Tracer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Ball joints without oiling grease zerk fittings which caused the ball joints to crack/break due to lack of lubrication. Dealer notified. The rubber boots around the ball joints are deflated with no zerks to insert grease.
