Failure Date: 01/14/2005

The front plastic headlight lens are deteriorating, conditions are causing poor visibility while driving at night. Both lens was replaced and repaired by a local repair shop. The dealer was not notified. . . . The two headlight lens became yellow and discolored. They did not provide adequate visibility at night. Replaced headlights at cost of $317. Oo, including pennsylvania state tax.

3 Headlights problem of the 1997 Mercury Tracer

Failure Date: 02/01/2002

Headlight covers have yellowed over time, also tiny cracks have developed. This makes them ineffective at night. While the consumer was driving at night the head lights were so faint that he can get more illumination on the road from the vehicle traveling behind him than from his own head lights. Consumer stated that these kinds of head lights are a safety hazard.
