Tl-the contact owns a 1993 Mercury Tracer. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact applied the breaks, however the breaks failed as the pedal went to the floor and the contact turned the ignition off. This caused the contact to crash into another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. There were three individuals injured and taken to hospital. A police report was filed of the incident. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. Rg.
