Air Bag Light On problems of the 1996 Mercury Villager

The airbag light on my 1996 Mercury Villager flashes from the time the car is turned on until the car is turned off. I am afraid that the airbag will be released at any given time while I am driving.

Air bag light is flashing. Not a result of any type of collision. Dealer said this is not a covered part. If this part is integral to the safety system, it should be part of the warranty.

Airbag light illuminated.

Air bag light flashing. Diagnosed by dealer as air bag monitor or wiring issue. Was told by service person"don't worry I don't believe in air bags". Vehicle is only 4 years old. This system should have a lifetime warranty.

Airbag light came on the dashboard. Consumer took vehicle to dealership, and airbag monitor was replaced. Mechanic told consumer that it was a good thing they bought it in when they did because there was a potential danger.

All doors automatically lock on their own. Cannot get in or out unless key is used. Also would beep & honk on its own. The air bag light would also come on. Had taken to dealer & mechanic can not repair problem.
