One problem related to tank mounting has been reported for the 1996 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fuel leak in engine compartment. Initial visits to dealer failed to identify this problem. Dealer identified problem on third visit. Problem was a failed rubber hose which was leaking gas under intake manifold.
