Two problems related to air conditioner have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Our air cond. Hose needed to be replaced one mo after the warranty exp. Says there was a leak. Cost apprx $500. 00 to replace. Who ever heard of transmission totally shot at 32,000 miles?.
The air conditioning compressor failed. My mechanic indicates that this is a chronic problem with Mercury Villager vans. The accelerator sticks intermittently when trying to accelerate from a stand still, causing a need to press the accelerator harder which causes a jerking of the van.
