Three problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Our air cond. Hose needed to be replaced one mo after the warranty exp. Says there was a leak. Cost apprx $500. 00 to replace. Who ever heard of transmission totally shot at 32,000 miles?.
Are Mercury Villager transmission went. We brought it new in 1997 only 53,000 miles we are upset with it.
When radi/ heater or turn signal was in use windshield washer would squirt fluid on windshield. Also, overdrive would kick out, and brake lights on left would go out if lights were used.
