general problems of the 1997 Mercury Villager

Three problems related to tire have been reported for the 1997 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire problem

Failure Date: 09/30/1998

Tires have gone bald by16000 miles one showing steel belting. Company claims it's the front wheel drive & should have rotated at 6000 miles, refusing to warranty. I never heard of rotating tires before 20,000 miles. Then why are the rear tires bad too? thank you. ( dot number: 024005 tire size: p205/75r15 ).

2 Tire problem

Sliding door panel falls off, there is a spot on the door, and if one touches it the door pops open. Also tires are bald, and air bag light flashes.
