One problem related to constant velocity joint has been reported for the 1998 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have owned a 1996 and 1998 Mercury Villager. Both vehicles had a failure of the driver's side cv boot with the eventual failure of the trans axle cv joint. Each time the transaxle had to be replaced.
