1 Warning Light On problem of the 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman

Failure Date: 08/01/2019

My passenger side seat sensor for the airbag has malfunctioned. I have heard of similar issue from other people. I am also aware that this problem was a recall fix for previous year Mini coopers. This fault has caused numerous warning lights to stay on all the time when the vehicle is turned on.

2 Warning Light On problem of the 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman

Failure Date: 10/19/2016

Airbag warning light on because of faulty passenger side seat mat sensor. Airbags are disabled without repair/replacement.

3 Warning Light On problem of the 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman

Failure Date: 06/25/2014

Air bag warning light went off even though there was no accident. No one was sitting in the passenger seat, and I (the driver), had my belt on. I tried buckeling the passenger belt, but the light remained on. I think this is a safety issue because I do not know if the airbag is defective, or whether there is a sensor problem, and the seat belt and airbags for the passenger are operable. There appear to be a lot of complaints about false airbag lights, illuminating.

4 Warning Light On problem of the 2011 Mini Cooper Clubman

Failure Date: 01/05/2013

We bought our car, a Mini Cooper Clubman 2011, used in 2012, with approximately 32k miles on it. There were issues that the Mini dealer took care of without issue, but for the last 4+ years we have been dealing with the passenger airbag warning lights remaining on. When it first occurred it would intermittently go on and off with reason or known cause. We contacted the dealer who said this was not a warranty or recall issue, but would gladly make necessary repairs for a costly 2k. We do not have 2k to spend on a life saving feature that was included as a standard feature. Life saving equipment should not be a maintenance issue but rather a manufacturer responsibility.
