One problem related to air bag not deploy has been reported for the 2005 Mini Cooper Convertible. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The front passenger seat weight sensor for airbag activation failed. Due to this, the front passenger airbag will not deploy in an accident. The only fix is a $2000 replacement of the entire front passenger seat.
