Air Bag Light On Problems of Mini Cooper S Clubman

Air bag light has been lit since around 2014. For some reason my 2008 Mini VIN is not part of the 2005-2008 Mini airbag recall. What should I do, as this issue should be part of the recall.

The passengers seat occupancy detector in my 2009 Mini cooper clubman s is not functioning and it won't allow any airbag to activate. The passenger airbag light is constantly on and it is a safety hazard and I will not drive the car with no working airbags. It started when I started the vehicle on 8/14 and replacement parts are on backorder.

I've had my 2011 Mini clubman s for three years now and had spent thousands of dollars already. I've replaced the water pump, dsc lights, and other things. The indicator lights seem to come on all the time and the mechanics don't always have the idea on what's causing these problems.

Air bag light goes off with code 93b1 passenger head airbag not present. Mini knows this is an issue as it has issued a technical service bulletin for this issue. The TSB number is si-m-65-10-08. This is a serious issue and should be recalled.

First incident: on a hot day, vehicle was parked, drivers seat occupied and reclined. Air bag light illuminates upon restart of vehicle. Fault was reset by dealer with no explanation. Second time same situation; hot day, parked, driver seat occupied and reclined, airbag light illuminates upon restart. Dealer replaced air bag due to electrical cable for drivers seat airbag being nearly cut in two by sharp edge of seat frame.
