One problem related to front seat belt has been reported for the 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The seat belt in my 1997 sohc 3000gt does not always retract and sometimes locks up when I lean forward. I have been in numerous close calls due wiggling out of the predicament.
