2003 Diamante purchased in oct 2003. Vehicle vibrated "horribly" when brakes are applied. Vibration/loud highway tire noise. Both rear tires "cup". Also, rubbing sound r/f wheel area when turning. Despite seven (7) attempts at repair by dealer this condition persists. Ongoing condition. Manufacturing rep offers to put on third new set of tires in 30k miles; yet states there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Dealer's service dept acknowledges problems with brakes on Diamantes. We have been forced to employ an attorney to go the route of invoking the nc lemon law.

On two occassions, this 2000 Diamante shook violently, belched blue smoke out the exhaust, lost considerable power, filled the interior with hazardous fumes and the service engine light came on. These two life threatening events happened at a little over 4000 miles and 12000 miles. My telephone number is 760-323-0704, your questioaire allows one to view all info before sending but does not allow adding information that one might have missed.

Pulls to the right when accerating at highway speeds. From 2000 miles -4000 pulled to right at all speeds. Now only highway. Mitsubishi claims this pulling is " normal torque steer". ( so was the Ford pinto's gas tank problems) if you are not prepared for the pull you will go off the road or into the next lane. I am always compensating and the degree of pull changes with the amount of acceleration. Unpredictable and dangerous . Please call me for further details as to Mitsubishi's response to this. I have spoken to others with same year vehicle who have same problem.
