One problem related to brake grinding noise has been reported for the 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving vehicle about 40 to 45 mph the comsumer heard a grinding noise like metal to metal. Brakes were gone as comsumer tried to step on the brake pedal, and weren't any. Comsumer took vehicle back to dealer and was fixed without charge. Manufacture was not contacted.
