Side/window Air Bag problems of the 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse

While traveling 70 mph vehicle was involved in a crash. Front side hit a median . Vehicle spun around, and hit the median again on the back side. There was no deployment of driver's side or passenger's side air bags. Please provide any further information.

Driving at approximately 40mph, coming to a stop light and the vehicle ran into the back of another vehicle, driver's side airbag deployed, burning the driver's arm. Also the passanger's side airbag deployed and burned the sunvisor.
