One problem related to body has been reported for the 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There appears to be a manufacturers defect in the body of all Mitsubishi Eclipses that have the same body style of 1998. There is a piece on the underside on the driver's side that catches on parking space markers and causes the whole front piece of the car to either tear, hang, or in some cases fall off.
