The contact owns a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse. While driving 30 mph, the brake pedal traveled to the floor when it was depressed. The brake light illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v337000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the brake fluid was changed; however, the failure recurred. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the master cylinder was replaced; however, the failure still recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 63,200.
I was coming up to a red light and my brakes gave out they went all the way 2 the ground, no pressure nothing ,they would just go 2 the ground, and then my abs and brake lights came on in my dash board ,on top of all of it I almost got hit by a plow,I could have died tonight because of my brakes in my 06 Eclipse.
