After a recent oil change, they informed me that the cross bar was very rusted and looks very unsafe. Upon further research I was informed there was a recall for this problem. I am the only owner and at this time all maintenance is up to date. Because the car has low mileage, I want to keep the car so during my research I was informed the part is unavailable. Not sure what to do at this point looking for any suggestions.

My daughter was driving the Eclipse, she turned onto a side street and the car spun out of control causing her to hit a parked car. The passenger side tire is sideways, I have pictures of the car after the accident. My insurance company totaled the car. The police are saying she was at fault for the accident. There is a recall on the VIN number.

The car makes a sound in the rear when I make a turn. The turning radius is very bad. I wouldn't do a u turn with it. The other issue is that the a/c stopped working on a very hot day. When I turned on the a/c the car turned off this almost caused a accident due to the sudden stop. The dashboard is all cracked. Other than that the car seems good. Everything else about the car I do like. The paint is peeling off and there seems to be some rust.
Fuel mileage is bad and when filling up if you can it keeps clicking and smelling like fuel inside car. No lighting in car at all. Had to replace suspension as the bolts were worn. Paint chipping all over car. Cooling system keeps failing and somehow I have water keeps coming in on floor boards and the floor is soaked and stinks.

The contact owns a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse gt. The contact stated that the struts are rusted and have come up on both sides of the vehicle. The dealer stated that nothing was wrong with the vehicle and advised him to take pictures. The vehicle is out of warranty and is not considered to be a surface plight issue, which is what the warranty covers. The dealer stated that the failure could not be remedied. The current and failure mileages were 80,000.
Constant over heating and fluid coming out of the radiator cap, also severe shaking in the sterring wheel and 4th gear. What is that all about?.
Have a 2003 Eclipse and many many problems since purchasing. After regular scheduled tire balance and rotation, took the car back because of shaking at 50-60 mph, the dealership told me the rims were bent, and they would have to be replaced, and they did (right after balance and rotating? would they balance if the rims were bent?) had my car in numerous times for moisture in my windows when putting them down and back up, a lot of moisture and bad visibility, replaced strips which helped mold smell, but can't fix the moisture. B/c of the bad visibility I am extra careful, but my car should not have this problem. Recently the molding on the windshield was coming loose, the dealership fixed it (sent it to a window place) and since then I have a film on my windshield which makes it very difficult to see. . . I have cleaned the glass numerous times, my wipers were fairly new, mitsbushi wouldn't look at it when I took it in for another rim replacement. My car still shakes, my windows and windshield have bad visibility problems, and now my sunroof button has popped out and will not open unless I hold it in first.
I first noticed the car was trying to throw me off the road when I had,had the car for about a year and a half I replaced the tires and still noticed the problem occurring I took it back to the tire store in denver where I was visiting they said there wasn't a problem with the tires then in June of 2002 I put on a third set of tires which seems excessive and the mechanics told me all 4 struts were out and this was very unusual I told them about theproblems that we had had in the past and they said it was very likely that the struts were the problem from the begining they did not think that that was normal to happen on such a new well cared for car. The only reason I am writing is because it was very scary and dagerous to be thrown around on the road in traffic. Thank-you.
While traveling on highway or making a turn steering has vibration inside of the wheel. Dealership is aware of problem.

Vehilce is in need of an alignment with just 13,500 on the odometer. Trusted mechanic says new cam kits are needed. Mechanic suggested that I contact the dealer. When I first called the dealer, they said this problem was only covered within 12,000 miles!! after raising a stink with the service manager, they will now "take a look at it" for me. Cars driven under normal conditions should not require an alignment this soon!!.
Consumer feels a vibration in the vehicle at speeds higher than 45 mph and at time is felt at low speeds. When the car goes over small bumps it feels like it's going to fall apart and sometimes a loss of control occurs. Nlm.
