"the fuel filler neck has rusted through and is actively leaking liquid gasoline when the tank is filled past 3/4, creating an active fire hazard. While safety recall 10v-065 shows as completed for this VIN, the original manufacturer remedy has completely failed. Furthermore, the local dealership refuses to inspect or address this failed safety recall without a $193 diagnostic fee, and Mitsubishi corporate has ignored multiple email inquiries since April. I am requesting a federal review because the vehicle remains unsafe due to a failed recall remedy and the manufacturer refuses to provide a free fix. ".
I just had to pay for a repair for the fuel filler pipe. It was leaking as I would fill the car with gas. This model had a recall for this problem but my car VIN was not included. The part they put down on the bill was "the recall kit". I feel that mine should have been covered also.
