Water from a/c dumps into the floor boards of the driver and passenger floor boards. This causes bottom of shoes to become slippery allowing them to slip from brake and gas pedal. There is so much water it take numerous towels to soak up the water. Over time, this moisture in the carpet leads to mold and mildew and affects those with allergies. I'm sure they may be some rust going on under the carpet due to the enormous amount of water that is dumped into the floor boards. This dumping of water happens any time the air conditioner is being used. When the vehicle turns, you can hear the water sloshing from side to side. . . It is a lot of water! we have taken this vehicle to the dealership and they said it was "fixed". . . Only to have the same thing happen again and again. It is way too costly to continue to take this in to have "repaired". After reading the numerous complaints about this very same issue, I feel it is a factory defect and Mitsubishi should have recalled this part/issue. This has been happening since we bought the vehicle for my daughter in 2015.

My air conditioner keeps going out every year. I have own the vehicle 2 1/2 years. I am having to have the air conditioner fixed again ( that is the summer of 2013, & 2014). I have talked to other owners who are having the same problem. This is costing me around $400. 00 every year. I would like someone to investigate and fix this problem. Thank you, donna velvin 903-241-1371 bdvelvin@yahoo. Com.
I noticed that the floor on the driver side of my Mitsubishi Endeavor 2004 was soaking wet and couldn't understand why since it was not raining. I noticed that the floor gets soaking wet whenever I use the car. I suspect that it might be the air conditioning leaking and it is. It get soaking wet and now I'm getting sick from the mildew. This has been going on for over 2yrs now. I cannot afford to get it fixed. This should of been a recall, I see loads of 2004 had this problem but it was corrected in 2005 Endeavors.

The drivers side floorboard is always wet. The dealer indicated it will cost $365 to fix. Seems that internet forums indicate this is a design issue and not simply a plugged air conditioning drain line.
Air conditioning drain plug doesn't drain and driver side floor gets very wet causing damaged floor and moldy smell after a while.
2004 Endeavor, driver side leak - water found under the brake and gas pedal when air conditioning in running. The entire driver side mat is soaked with water. Leaving the pedals slippery and causing a mildew smell in the vehicle. The slippery pedals are unsafe enough, now I am worried about the mildew growth in my vehicle.
The contact owns a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The contact was driving approximately 20 mph with the air conditioning unit activated when the contact noticed a large accumulation of water on the front driver's side floor board. The failure recurred whenever the air conditioning unit was in operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer eight times and on one occasion, an unknown repair was performed but the failure was not corrected. The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic four times but to no avail. There were no resolutions for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The failure mileage was unavailable.
