Seat Belt problem #1

The srs light on the dash is on. The passenger seatbelt does not alert when there’s a passenger who needs to put on there seatbelt.

Seat Belt problem #2

Srs warning light is on and Mitsubishi told me they can't repair this since they stopped making the part affected. It needs a new sensor which controls the air bags and seat belt assembly. I was told if in an accident the air bags may not deploy or even accidentally deploy in a no accident scenario. The car is only eight years old and they stopped making the part? this definitely compromises safety!.

Seat Belt problem #3

Took my car into the dealership and was told they cannot fix my problem due to the fact Mitsubishi stopped manufacturing the part needed. The car is only eight years old! yes they discontinued this model but the parts? this is ridiculous, my air bag sensor is disabled and turned off which is a safety issue! I cannot fix it and I wonder if I can even sell it due to the fact it has no working air bags. How can they get away with this? I thought the NHTSA was a place where consumers of cars sold in this country could go to help remedy these kind of problems.

Seat Belt problem #4

Drivers seat belt latch sticks. It takes several times of pressing release button to unlatch the belt.

Seat Belt problem #5

We crashed in the back end o0f someone at about 60 mph nobody`s air bag went off there was a lot of front end damanage the ambulance driver wanted to get us out and keep us out as fast as possible because he said it should of went off and still expected it would go off at any time but it never did . The passanger seat belt I had on did not hold me back causing bodily injury esp to the chest even my bottom where I kinda flew up hard in the seat then dropped back down.

Seat Belt problem #6

The contact owned a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The contact stated that while stopped at an intersection, a heavy truck crashed into the front passenger side of the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy and the seat belt did not hold the contact in place. The contact stated that the vehicle was destroyed and she suffered injuries to her head, neck and other parts of her body. There was a police report if needed. The manufacturer was notified and advised her to contact the insurance company. The failure mileage was 104,073.

Seat Belt problem #7

My son and I was in an accident on may, 20th, 2010 at approximately 3:45 pm. I was driving my 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor limited on the interstate at 60 mph. Two cars in front of my vehicle slammed on their brakes to avoiding hitting a motorcyclist that dodged in front of them. I slammed on my brakes and swerved to Dodge the van, in front of me, but ending up hitting the van on my front passenger side. I was traveling at approximately 55mph when I hit the van. My 17 year old son's seatbelt failed to work, causing him to hit the windshield, breaking the windshield. After he hit the windshield, his airbag deployed late throwing him up and back. In my opinion, my seatbelt did not work either. My son nor I had any marks on our neck or shoulders, from a seatbelt locking in during an accident. My SUV was termed totaled by my insurance company.

Seat Belt problem #8

The initial issue is the seat belts in the rear fail to return and/or do not come out. The more recent issue is the rear tailgate which is now failing to open unless done mechanically by climbing over back seat and attempting to access switch internally. We are being told by our mechanic that it is an issue with the internal computer.

Seat Belt problem #9

Rear seat belt not working.

Seat Belt problem #10

Received vehicle with defective front passenger seat belt as described by the notice from NHTSA. We followed up with the dealer since March 2008 until the present. The dealer states there's still no parts available until this time.
