One problem related to steering wheel vibrate has been reported for the 1998 Mitsubishi Galant. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When applying the brakes, there was a loud squeeling noise & around 30 - 40 mph (on deceleration) steering wheel shakes; the front brake rotors were "found" to be the problem but immediately after leaving the mechanics, the problem with the shaking steering wheel continued.
