Four problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1999 Mitsubishi Galant. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision of 25-30 mph and neither air bag deployed. Dealer and manufacturer were notified. There were two injuries in the accident.
No deployment of both air bags during vehicle collision with extensive damage and injury.
Was driving 5 mph and another vehicle going a t 35mph rear ended consumer's vehicle, causing vehicle to hit another vehicle in front. Upon impact, airbags malfunctioned and did not deploy. Thus failing to protect the occupant in this crash, in which she sustained injuries. Please provide further information and VIN#.
While driving at 50 mph another vehicle pulled in front of the consumer, into the same lane. Consumer applied the brakes, they failed and vehicle rear ended the other vehicle. Upon impact, driver's and passenger's air bags didn't deploy.
